When You're Young/Fame Live Medley - Debbie Allen

"When You're Young /Fame" medley comes from the Kids From Fame Concerts 1982 /1983 and was the opening number of the shows. Sadly it was edited from the live album, video and TV specials.

This is the rehearsal performance which was broadcast on U.K. TV during the Russell Harty Show Kids from Fame special in April 1983.

Fame News!

It's a short month this month as September is our annual holiday. I can't wait to get away as it's not been the best of years!  We're only posting until September 11th so there's no real theme this month. We will just be continuing to post the final episodes and songs for season 2.

The season 1 discussion group on Facebook has now evolved into the Fame TV Series Discussion Group. My original Plan was to have a different group for each season but that felt a little messy and as much of the discussion covers a number of different seasons it made sense to have it all in one place.

Join the Facebook group

The CW channel has given a script order for a pilot of a new Fame like TV series set in an L.A. Performing arts School. Debbie Allen is involved as Executive Producer. It is not known yet when this is likely to air or if it will be picked up as a full series but we'll bring you the news as soon as we find out.

For more information Read the original article

There is mention of last years announcement to re-image the Fame TV series but it is unclear whether that is still likely to happen or not.  If it was I would rather Debbie be involved in "Fame" rather than a fame rival!

Debbie Allen will also be back in Greys Anatomy when it 10th Season kicks off on September 26th.

Irene Cara has announced plans for an Australian concert tour in November.

The What A Feeling Tour dates are:
