Fame News!

Sorry, but this month things are all over the place. My Father in law died a couple of weeks ago and that has taken up a lot of my time. We still have the funeral to come  this month. Then there's the Fame Reunion in Italy so one minute I'll be on a high with the concert and then the next a low with the funeral. All this means I've had and will have very little time to plan this months posts. So I'll be winging it. I'll post what I can when I can but there's no theme, just what I've got ready to go on my computer. There will be a few Christmas themed posts like a movie Erica Gimpel and some Christmas music written by or Featuring cast members.

This Month sees the Fame Reunion in Italy, featuring Jesse Borrego, Lee Curreri, Cynthia Gibb, Erica Gimpel, Carlo Imperato, Valerie Landsburg and Nia Peeples. The planned events are a Buffet Lunch with the cast on December 3rd, the Reunion Concert on December 5th followed by a buffet Dinner with the cast. We will be there for the concert and Buffet dinner, so please say hello.

Anyone who wants to share their pictures, reviews, experiences please contact us.

We will be trying to share our own experiences but as it's a busy month I may have to wait to post them in January.

Debbie Says:

"BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND FOR THE SIXTH YEAR!!! I am happy to inform you we will be presenting “The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker” at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion as our annual theatrical production.

The letters, artwork, and creativity that this work inspired in young people who attended last year’s performance is beyond remarkable. So I encourage you to sign up early as we were filled to capacity last year with a long waiting list. School performance will be on December 18th. The show runs for 90 minutes and starts promptly at 10:00am.

Following the idea of the original, it’s Christmas Eve and the Johnsons are having a grand party. The Christmas gifts are shared and young Kara receives a Nutcracker filled with hot chocolate – her favorite. She falls asleep and the journey begins when the Nutcracker comes alive! Three wise cracking mice: Harvey, Schmink and Buckey take over the story. They are the three stooges incarnate from N.Y.C. who call themselves “The Real Rat Pack”. They go to many new lands of wonder: Candy Cane Land, Egypt, the Indian Rainforest/Bollywood, Jazzland, Russia, and the Land of the Kimono Dolls. With dazzling choreography, music and costumes, this is a holiday theater experience that all ages will enjoy!

I have taken tradition and given it a new context, fresh lively characters, new music and spectacular dancing to bring a vibrant, unforgettable theater experience for all ages to enjoy. Don’t miss this wonderful production created just for you!!

Hope to see you there,

Debbie Allen"
